April Monthly Meeting at Viet-AID in Dorchester!

Welcome to Dorchester! The Fellows were greeted with open arms by Carro at her host-site, Viet-AID. Carro started off the day’s training discussing her upbringing in Dorchester and the importance of the community center at which she works. She offered insight on the demographics in the area and also shared what programs Viet-AID offers youth.

Colleen and Cecelia led a “Life After AmeriCorps” training, this time focused on interviewing. MPF Alum Sonal Dhingra provided a LinkedIn training to get Fellows ready for their next steps. Current fellow Ben offered to take headshots of the group so their profiles have that “professional edge.”

Fellows were treated to delicious Vietnamese sandwiches from Banh for lunch. The day ended with advising group time and Pass the Wagon. Next month we are back at Northeastern for a two day training!
